Micromax had promised earlier this year that it has plans to launch as many as 30 handsets this year alone and it seems the company is keeping with its promise. It also made a addition to its ever increasing Canvas series with the launch of Micromax Canvas Music A88. The smartphone is now available for purchase on Micromax’s official site and other major retailers around the country for Rs. 8499.

As the named suggests, the Canvas Music is custom made for Music lovers and it also ships with free JBL Tempo headphones. Micromax is also offering unlimited and free song downloads from its own MLive! store which has over 3 lakh songs. According to Micromax, “it serves as a perfect offering to the youth echoing its vision of providing a fulfilling entertainment experience to all the music and multimedia lovers.”

Being a budget phone, Canvas Music offers decent smartphone specifications. Canvas Music A88 is a dual SIM smartphone running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and powered by a 1 GHz dual core MediaTek processor with 512 MB RAM. It comes with a 4.5-inch display and 5 MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 0.3 MP camera at the front for video calling. A88 also comes with a 4 GB internal storage (with microSD support upto 32 GB) and a 1,800 mAh battery.
