The game, created by Gameloft, takes up a size of 800MB on Windows Phones and around 1GB for Windows 8.

The franchise's eighth edition, Asphalt 8: Airborne, which was released on Microsoft operating systems in November 2013, includes a lot of new features as compared to the seventh edition, Asphalt 7: Heat.

Asphalt 8: Airborne features 47 racing cars to choose from, out of which around 80 percent are new cars with revamped sound effects. The game also includes a brand new game physics engine, and nine different exotic racing locations like Venice, Guiana and the Nevada desert, with various racing shortcut tracks.

Airborne, for hardcore gamers, comes with a career mode, which features a total of 8 seasons and 180 other events. The multiplayer feature of the game can support up to eight opponents.
