Adcom launches 6 Android handsets; priced within Rs 3,199 to Rs 8,999

The phones come with 3.5 inch to 5.3 inch display and have specifications that are better than others in the same price bracket.

Adcom, an Indian phone and tablet brand, has launched six Android smartphones in the range of Rs 3,199 to Rs 8,999 in India.

 

The costliest among the six is the Thunder A530 HD which comes with a 5.3 inch HD display and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The phone is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor and has 512 MB RAM along with 4 GB of internal memory.

Adcom Thunder A530 HD has also an 8 megapixel camera at the back while a 2 megapixel unit is in the front. Regular connectivity options like 3GWiFiBluetooth and GPS are all there in the phone. Thunder A530 has a fairly large 2800 mAh battery too. The phone competes with the like of Lava Iris 501, and Spice Stellar Horizon Pro Mi-505 but in terms of features and price it is better than competition.

The cheapest phone in the lineup is the Thunder A350 - a 2G phone, priced at Rs 3,199. It comes with a 3.5 inch display and runs on Android 4.0 OS; most other phones in this price bracket runs on Android 2.3. It runs on a 1 GHz processor which is assisted by 256 MB RAM. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera at the back and a VGA in the front of the phone.

Adcom A400 is also among the group of six. Priced at Rs 3,999, the phone comes with a 4 inch display, 1 GHz processor and Android 4.0 OS. Other than these, it has similar features as the A350.

Adcom also announced the Thunder A430 handset with 4.3 inch display for Rs 6,499. This 2G only phone has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 512 MB RAM. The phone has an 8 megapixel rear and 1.3 megapixel front camera.

 

Adcom Thunder A450 comes with 4.5 inch IPS display and two 1800 mAh batteries. Powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 512 MB RAM, the phone comes with an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel unit in the front. The phone is priced at Rs 7,499. This dual SIMphones supports 3G networks too.

 

Adcom Thunder 500, the second costliest handset in the line up, is priced at Rs 7,999. It comes with a 5 inch IPS display, 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB inbuilt memory. Like A450, it has an 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera. It too has two batteries of 2800 mAh each which looks like unbelievable but that is what the company told on its website.

 

Some of the phones are already available in online store widely, but phones like the A500, A450 are not yet available. In terms of specifications and features the entire range beats the rivals hands down, however Adcom is relatively unknown brand and therefore might need little extra effort from Adcom to sell them.
